Virtual Summer Writers' Conference



Registration covers participation in all virtual seminars, evening readings, and late-night lounges throughout the week. ​The 2021 MVICW Summer Writers’ Conferences includes:

  • 60+ hours of craft lessons in fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction

  • Extended access to classes so you can watch lessons all summer long

  • Finding an agent and marketing your book post publication 

  • Daily readings from award-winning visiting writers 

  • Late Night Open Mics, providing an online venue where you can connect with other attendees and share your work

  • And even more surprises!

Registration & Manuscript Session


In addition to attending the 2021 MVICW Summer Writers’ Conference, you will receive a 45-minute one-on-one virtual meeting to focus on your poetry, fiction, or creative non-fiction. During your manuscript session, you will:

  • Receive individualized feedback on your manuscript

  • Get advice from award-winning authors/poet

  • Be able to ask questions about various craft elements 

  • Find out about the process of seeking publication for your work

Manuscript Guidelines:

For prose (fiction, CNF, screenplays etc.): submit a single prose piece of up to 15 double-spaced pages.

For poetry: submit up to 3-4 poems with a max page count of 8 pages or less.

Manuscript sessions are limited to a first-come basis
